Qualifications and Requirements for KFS Recruitment 2024

There are certain requirements you must meet to be eligible for the Kenya Forest Service jobs. They are as follows:

1. Be a Kenyan citizen.
2. Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D+. 
3. Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of upper second-class honours or its equivalent.
4. Be certified by government medical personnel as physically and mentally suitable for service.
5. Have no physical or mental disabilities.
6. Be of good character and integrity.
7. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player.
8. Possess strong managerial and communication skills.
9. Be competent, organized, and able to work in a collaborative environment.

Benefits & Salary Structure

Successful applicants will benefit from a range of allowances. House allowances vary from Ksh5,000 to Ksh50,000 per month depending on location, while commuter allowances range between Ksh5,000 and Ksh15,000. Medical allowances cover employees and their dependents, provided through a medical insurance scheme. 

Risk allowances, ranging between Ksh5,000 and Ksh20,000, are available for those working in high-risk regions. Annual leave is equivalent to one month’s salary, and hardship allowances of up to Ksh20,000 are offered to those in remote areas.

Salaries range from Ksh30,000 to Ksh300,000 for senior officers.
