1. Exams Invigilator
2. Senior Consultant (Gender)

Eligibility Criteria For British Council Recruitment 2024

The successful candidates will need to possess the following requirements:

Exams Invigilator:

1. English language level of B1 (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing skills) or equivalent (e.g. Cambridge English PET, IELTS 5)
2. Customer Service: Experience of responding to children/ young adults and parents’ needs (as customers) in a professional manner, to a high level of quality
3. Previous invigilator experience 
4. Awareness of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children 
5. Diploma or equivalent qualification 

Senior Consultant (Gender):

1. Relevant Degree in International Development, Gender Studies, Public Policy, or a related discipline
2. Experience in leading and/or contributing to technical proposals from a gender perspective
3. Consultancy, capacity building and training skills, particularly in gender equality
4. Knowledge of gender equality issues globally and in SSA and at least one of the British Council areas of work (Arts, Education and English) relevant policies and the intersection between gender and other inequalities
5. Understands and promotes ethical conduct, and is able to ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and values of the British Council including those set out in our EDI priorities
6. Master’s Degree in a relevant field is desirable
