Recruitment Requirements For the County Government of Kenya

The general requirements are hereby listed below for all potential applicants:

1. For appointment to this grade, an officer must have served in the grade of Deputy Director, Physical Planning for a minimum period of three (3) years;
2. Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:~ Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution;
3. Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: ~ Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution;
4. Membership to the Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter)
5. Registration by the Physical Planners Registration Board,
6. Certificate in computer applications skills
7. Shown administrative ability and professional competence necessary for the effective performance of work at this level
8. Demonstrated managerial and professional competence in work performance and results.

Requirements for the Position of A Landscape Architect:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
2. Registered with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors.
3. Certificate in computer application skills.
