JSC Recruitment 2024 application form is now available. Are you a competent judge searching for a job offer in Uganda? Ugandan Judicial Service Commission is recruiting massively to fill judge vacancies in its Federal High Court.

The Judicial Service Commission is a Constitutional body established under Article 146 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995, whose mandate is to recruit judicial officers and regulate their conduct.

Currently, The Judicial Service Commission of Uganda has opened several job vacancies for Uganda, and for all positions, the jobholder will be required to adjudicate cases subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Uganda in accordance with the Constitution.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience for JSC Recruitment 2024

The following are the qualifications, skills, and experience needed for JSC recruitment 2024:

1. Applicants should be in possession of an Ordinary Level Certificate, Advanced Level Certificate, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized University / Institution and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre or a recognized Institution.
2. Applicants should be or have been a Judge of a Court having unlimited jurisdiction in Civil and Criminal matters or a Court having jurisdiction in appeals from any such Court or has practiced as an Advocate for a period not less than ten (10) years before a Court having unlimited jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters.
3. Any relevant advanced/post graduate qualification(s), ICT qualification(s) as well as work experience will be an added advantage. A Certificate of Enrolment is a requirement. For the above vacancy, any period during which a person has served as a Public Officer holding an office for which qualification for an advocate is required shall be taken into account in calculating the various period of practice required above.
4. Applicants appointed to this position will act for a period of two (2) years before they are appointed in a substantive capacity upon performance evaluation being conducted.

The application should be directed to the Secretary Judicial Service Commission (JSC), as a SINGLE PDF DOCUMENT to application emails provided against each position on offer which should be received.

The Judicial Service Commission Form 1 can be accessed at the official careers portal, www.jsc.go.ug. This form should be completed in typed letters. Handwritten forms will not be accepted, and Emailed to: hej2024@jsc.go.ug.

Required Documents for JSC Recruitment

Applicants should attach on a duly completed Form 1 and in the order provided below:

1. A copy of National ID
2. A passport size photograph
3. An up to date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
4. Names, contacts and letters of recommendation of two (2) Professional and two (2) Character referees
5. Copies of academic certificates and transcripts certified by the issuing Institution
6. A certified copy of the latest and complete Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities from the Inspectorate of Government for applicants in Judiciary Service and Public Service
7. An applicants self-assessment declaration competences whose details and format can be accessed at www.jsc.go.ug
