The Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) was established in 1964 as a Department under the then Ministry of Education.
This establishment was subsequent to Kenya’s Membership to UNESCO in April 7, 1964 as the 73rd member and in line with UNESCO Constitution of 1945.
Currently, the corporate body is hiring for several job vacancies, hence extending its invitation for application to candidates interested in working with them.

Responsibilities of the Jobholder
Candidates applying are to keep it in their minds that they will be responsible for the execution of the following duties in KNATCOM based in Nairobi:
- Chief Executive Officer to the Commission
- Accounting officer to the Commission
- Responsible to the Board in the implementation of the KNATCOM Act, 2013 (Revised 2014)
- Responsible for the day to day operation of the Commission
- Administration and management of the property of the Commission
- Supervise, lead, empower and motivate staff to build strong teams and manage organizational change to remain competitive
In addition to that, interested candidates are to be in the possession of a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree of Higher Diploma qualification.
