The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) was established in 2013 by an Act of Parliament the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration Act No. 26 of 2013 as a Centre for promotion of international commercial arbitration and other alternative forms of dispute resolution.

Requirements for NCIA Recruitment 2024
For appointment, applicants who are in the possession of the following have their chances increases and most likely will be pre-selected and contacted for interview:
- Candidates must have at least ten (10) years with a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management and leadership position in a public or private organization.
- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Law, Finance, Arbitration, Economics, or Insurance from a recognized institution.
- A post graduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution is required
- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Program lasting not less than six (6) weeks or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Have met all the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
- Be a member of a recognized professional body in good standing; and
- Demonstrated a thorough understanding of national goals, policies and development objectives, and ability to translate them into alternative dispute resolution policies.
