Following a successful application for the teaching job vacancies at several primary schools in Oyo, Oyo SUBEB has fixed Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, 2024, as the date for the computer-based test for successful applicants.
As announced earlier on Wednesday 17th July, 2024, by the Chairman of Oyo SUBEB, Nureni Adeniran.
Nureni Adeniran stated that 50,097 applicants made through the application exercise to take part in the scheduled computer-based tests for the teaching job vacancies at different primary schools across several Local Government Areas in Oyo State.
As stated by Adeniran, the scheduled date and time for the CBT had already been communicated to all applicants through the emails and phone numbers they provided during the application, hence advising them regularly check their emails and phones for confirmation.
He also detailed the venue for the exam to be the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based Testing Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan.
According to the chairman, “The Board has approved that the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based testing centre, should conduct the computer-based tests for the applicants because of its long-standing pedigree in such examinations.”
Prior to the announcement, all applicants were instructed to print copies of their CBT examination schedule (date, time, venue…) and their application print-out, attaching their passports from the recruitment portal.
Applicants were also advised not leave behind any of the print-outs, that the two print-outs would be the only qualification allowing them into the CBT examination hall.
The OYO SUBEB boss also talked about punctuality, advising applicants to adhere strictly to the time and date sent to them by the board, as well as avoiding loitering around the examination centre.
As earlier stated, the Chairman maintained that candidates emerging successful from the computer-based tests would be required to appear for oral interviews.
Nureni Adeniran emphasized on the Board’s commitment to the ongoing exercise, stating “No applicant should rely on hear-says. The Board will always give you updates on each step of the exercise, so please beware of scammers.”
Additionally, Adeniran stated that the board is making efforts to conclude the exercise on time, so candidates emerging successful could be quickly inducted into the system and join the undergoing changes of the basic education system in the state.
