General Requirements For Port Regulator (South Africa) Recruitment 2024
The successful candidate must have the following requirements:
Specialist: Economic Regulator:
- Must have a postgraduate (Honours or Masters) qualification in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Financial Management, Engineering or equivalent with 3- 5 years relevant experience in conducting economic research, tariff benchmarking and economic forecasting
- Experience in financial and economic modelling will be an added advantage
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
- Experience in conducting research projects and/or project management
- Previous experience within the Maritime Environment would be an added advantage.
- Previous experience within an economic regulatory environment would be an added advantage.
Specialist: Monitoring and Compliance:
- Must have a degree in law (LLB or equivalent).
- 5 years minimum post qualification experience and minimum 2 yearsβ experience in compliance
- Post-qualification legal experience in compliance and / or corporate governance will be an advantage
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the National Ports Act, its Directives, Regulations and other relevant enactments
- Member of CISA will be an added advantage
- Experience within the Ports or Maritime Environment would be another added advantage
- Have excellent analytical, research, legal and report writing capabilities
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be in possession of a Code B Driving license
