- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be a holder of a Diploma (depending on the job position) or Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized in Kenya
- Candidates for the position of Cook III and Social Worker III; must be an employee of Tharaka Nithi
- Registered as a member of a relevant organizational body
- Have a valid practicing license
- Be of acceptable moral and professional standing;
