Main Requirements For UMP Recruitment 2024

The required qualifications are stated here:

1. A Doctoral qualification in Education
2. At least 15 years’ experience as an Academic and Researcher in Higher Education with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership position such as Head of School, Deputy Dean or equivalent.
3. An extensive record of research outputs including papers in accredited national and international journals and presentations at national and international conferences and books and book chapters and conference proceedings.
4. A substantial record of postgraduate supervision at Masters’ and Doctoral level with some of these students publishing their research.
5. Active participation in and leadership of learned societies.
6. Extensive application of disciplinary knowledge and skills to the benefit of the external community.
7. A record of leadership in research, teaching and learning and engagement.
8. Good understanding of or experience with Department of Higher Education and Training, Council on Higher Education and South African Qualifications Authority accreditation and quality assurance processes.
