Job Overview

The program aims to provide refugee youth access to trained refugee university guidance experts who can advise on relevant options and pathways they are eligible for and support them to prepare for application processes into tertiary education, employment and potential third country opportunities. Requirements For WIU Recruitment 2024

The following qualifications, skills and experience is required:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.
2. Active participation in the DAFI Alumni Association is required Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
3. Must possess a Class A driving permit and be able to ride a motorcycle. This is required.
4. Knowledge of native tongues, i.e. Arabic, Burundian, French, Rwandese languages, etc
5. Experience in facilitating training programs for youth
6. Knowledge of scholarships for refugees and the skillset to pursue these opportunities
7. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with advisors and students
8. Lived experience of forced displacement (must have a valid refugee attestation form/ ID) Strong oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, presentation and reporting skills; Attention to detail in document production and editing;
9. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
10. Good overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; and office technology equipment
