The following are the essential qualifications, skills and experience required for the recruitment:

1. Degree in business, economics, management, finance or related field
2. At least 3 years’ experience in government services and/or supporting private sector companies/organizations in doing business
3. Current knowledge of Kenya’s economy, government and business environment
4. Great communication and presentation skills
5. Excellent drafting skills
6. Fluency in the language of business and investment
7. A positive, resilient, flexible and adaptable “can-do” attitude that can see way through challenges.
8. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries, to build networks across the region.
9. Knowledge of, and a keen interest in sustainable trade and economic development (additional training will be given)
10. Fluency in English (both oral and written)
11. Knowledge of the UK economic and business environment
12. Existing relationships across Kenya’s economy, government and business sector
