General Qualifications For CLASP Recruitment 2024

Manager, Clean Energy Access Communications:

1. A track record of achievement in communications, including international experience, with a preference for experience in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or South Asia. Directionally, we are looking for 4-6 years of previous communications experience.
2. Experience writing for a donor audience and leading an editorial process with subject matter experts and teams on reporting or fundraising.
3. Proven ability to take complex, technical ideas and turn them into compelling stories in a variety of formats: web, print publications, briefing papers, digital media, and social media all a plus; experience writing funding proposals ideal.
4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Candidates with experience in the clean energy access sector strongly preferred; those with experience in international development broadly, renewable energy, sustainable development, and/or energy efficiency may also be considered.

Director, Africa:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in international program implementation (clean energy/ climate/ renewable energy sector); business and partnership development experience preferred.
2. Master’s/Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, development, economics and finance, environmental science, law, engineering) preferred or equivalent experience.
3. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to deal with complexities and thrive in an ambitious environment
4. Persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written; multi-lingual preferred.
5. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
