Qualifications for UNILAG Recruitment 2024

The following are the requirements and qualifications needed for UNILAG Recruitment 2024:

Registrar

1. Candidates must possess a good Honor’s Degree plus National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or evidence of exemption.
2. Candidates must possess a relevant higher degree and membership of a recognized professional body (optional and advantageous)
3. Candidates must have at least fifteen (15) years post-qualification administrative experience.
4. Candidates must have at least ten (10) years relevant experience in a senior management level in the University system or tertiary institutions of comparable status.
5. Candidates must ICT-compliant and have experience in Communication and Information Literacy, Strategic Planning, Staff Management Technology and Digital Literacy.

University Librarian

1. Candidates must possess a good Honour’s Degree in Library and Information Science or related field, Master and Ph.D. degrees in Library and Information Science from a recognized university.
2. Candidates must be certified by the Librarian’s Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). In addition, the candidate must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency.
3. Candidates must possess and demonstrate skills including, Strategic Planning, Collection Development, Staff Management, Copyright and Intellectual Property, Analytical and Problem Solving, Critical Thinking and Creativity, Financial Responsibility, Self-Management and Social Responsibility, amongst others.
4. Candidates must have at least fifteen (15) years of cognate experience in University Library services, ten (10) of which must be at senior management level.
5. A substantial number of scholarly publications, both in quality and quantum, in reputable international and national journals, is required from applicants.
6. Candidates must demonstrate and provide strong academic and administrative leadership. The candidate should not be below the rank of a Reader Librarian / Deputy University Librarian.
7. Candidates must not be more than sixty-five (65) years by Friday, March 14, 2025.
