Requirements for ILRI Recruitment 2024
The following are the requirements for the Scientist job opened at ILRI in 2024 currently:
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience post-PhD in related topics.
- Candidates must be experienced working in LMIC contexts.
- Candidates must be possess extensive experience in life cycle assessment (LCA) and system modelling for livestock emissions and nutrient cycling.
- Candidates must have an understanding of the interaction between soils, plants, animals, system; understanding of biogeochemical cycling in agricultural or natural ecosystems.
- Possession of strong coding skills (R, Matlab, Python) and fluency in French is required.
PhD in a relevant field: Environmental science, livestock science, agronomy, ecology, or a related discipline.
GHG Emissions Research: Proven experience in greenhouse gas emissions research and mitigation strategies.
Analytical and Project Management Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical abilities and effective project management skills.
