Specifications For the Open Positions at DRC 2024

The requirements for the job positions above are listed below:

1. Minimum 2 years working experience in the same position
2. The candidate for the position of Advocacy & Communications Assistant; must have a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, development studies or social science. Masters in a similar field is an added advantage
3. The candidate for the position of Protection Assistant; must have Bachelor’s degree in Sociology; Counseling and/or Psychology, Social Work.
4. Good project management skills, with experience in multiple location and projects.
5. Experience in work in urban refugee and host community context desirable. 
6. A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both county and national governments, donors, partners, local organizations, and other stakeholders.
7. Sound understanding on the urban refugee context as well as willing and ability to adapt priorities in response to dynamic work demands.
8. Strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills with ability to work both independently and within a team in a demanding working environment.
9. Good analytical and strategic planning skills.
10. Ability to communicate complex ideas simply, excellent/fluency in written and spoken English, Kiswahili and Somali languages.
11. Excellent computer skills with MS applications- Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
